Let see what our cast member Cristie Lam has to say about Cube Culture!
What is your profession? How long have you been in this job for?
I used to work for a leading beauty group, but a few months ago I changed my job and am now working in a local music events and production house. I have always wanted to work in the Music Industry and now I am in it!
Where is a special place in the Quarry Bay neighbourhood for you?
The fantastic journey between my boyfriend and me started three years ago, at a small foyer outside Cityplaza, when he officially asked me out.
Have you always been interested in performing arts?
Yes! As a performer, I joined Dracula in 2010, and I played Carmen Diaz from FAME the Musical at CityU in 2016. After FAME, I had more confidence in acting, singing and dancing on stage. But I am more an introvert so was not quite active auditioning in for shows. Instead, I started being a freelance Music Producer & Songwriter. I've been writing original songs for a Primary School’s musical productions since college.
What drove you to audition for Cube Culture?
I met Lindsey when I was still a teenager during an audition for HKYAF's RENT. I got a call back but I didn't make it to the final stage. I would love to work with Lindsey and HKYAF's team. The rehearsals and meeting with the cast definitely cleared away any monday blues.
What is your favorite/most memorable part of this project?
David Attenborough! Still remember the chills I felt when I first heard his voice in the scene.
What’s your favourite musical?
Frank Wildhorn’s productions such as Dracula, Jekyll & Hyde and Rudolf. I particularly like the music arrangements... they are like dark Disney magical tunes. And yeah High School Musical also represents my youth. #Millennial #hsmislife
